Somebody's Gonna Miss Me is a lesser-known bouncy soul number by Sam Cooke, originally released back in 1962. The Daydream Club have taken the bare-bones of the song and steered more into the heart of the touching lyrics. Stripping it back to just acoustic guitar and voices for the most part, it is an intimately warm and heartfelt version. Add it to their ever growing list of not so obvious covers including 'This Will Be Our Year' (The Zombies), 'Unchain My Heart' (Ray Charles), 'All Star' (Smash Mouth), the duo are on their way to building an album.
